Boy's Gymnastics
Mission
Statement: To Develop children’s bodies and understanding of
the sport of gymnastics through educational and physically
challenging classes.
History
of Gymnastics: Gymnastics was first conceived as a way to
train the ancient Greek army.
In its early stages the soldiers would practice mounting and
dismounting their horses in more extravagant ways.
They would also hold sparing competitions judging aerobatic
fighting skills only.
Long before there were Ninjas, there were gymnasts flipping and
swinging on everything they could find.
Over the years gymnastics has evolved into more of an art
form, involving nothing more then the gymnast’s body and the
apparatus.
Body
Mechanics: Gymnastics is one of the only sports that utilizes
all of the body’s total muscles.
Not only the muscles that are used in swinging, and tumbling,
but also the small abstract muscles used when balancing in different
positions. The art of
Gymnastics would be best defined as the human body and physics in
motion.
Events:
Here at Aspire Athletics LLC our boys are trained on all six
of the Olympic events. Boys
must be well rounded athletes to be able to perform on all these
events with the specific challenges faced on each apparatus.
The male gymnast must be light enough to get in the air and
flip easily, quick enough to react to the amount of time they have
in the air, strong enough to hold their body weight in every
possible position and angle, and smart enough to understand what and
how they are doing when they do get in the air.
Join us in helping your son “Aspire” to be all he can be by
joining our club.
